Demaquillante casero - natural - orgánico

PRIMER POST EN ESPAÑOL E INGLES - FIRST POST IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH!

Hola a tod@s!!

Hi everyone!
Today I bring to you my new rutine to clean my face daily and the steps I do before bed.

The search:
I found lots of recepies to clean the face and only one I'd like to try. The original recipe was Coconut oil, water and a few drops of Johnson's Shampoo baby no tears. But I had 2 problems: That shampoo irritates my eyes (yes, it does) and coconut oil is solid at room temperature so the the mix wouldn't hold even and I would have to heat it every time before use and that's not practical at all. So I decide to do my own experiment: just coconut oil. But it's so good that the skin absorbs it too well that the cotton pad doesn't slide and it's like rubbing a dry cotton pad (I also tried putting the oil on the cotton and it doesn't work either. You need to put it with your fingers directly to the skin)

And the day that my LED lightbulb in my head went on and here it's the process I achieved:

Step by step:
  • Coconut Oil (I have a small amount for this purpose only and scoop it out with a little clean spatula)
  • Chamomille tea (check for the benefits of using this as a toner)
  • Cotton pads (or reusable cotton cloth pads)

Make half cup of tea (it needs to be stong). Once ready put it in the fridge to chill and when it's cold put it in a small spray bottle. (this last about 2 or 3 days, so don't make a lot of it). This will be our moist medium that will help to spread the coconut oil.

Now we can start!:
First of all I recommend you to wash your hands and if you have acne isues use sanitizing gel to asure your hands are desinfected. Once dry, start.

Pulverizamos el rostro con el té. Tiene que quedar bastante humedecido todo.

Spray all the face with the tea. It has to be very wet.

Scoop a fingertip of coconut oil with a spatula and rub it on the fingers to warm it out and make it liquid and start spreading on the eyes. Don't be scare if you start to look like a raccoon! It's just the mascara.

Take a cotton pad damped in chamomille tea (this will help slide better) and start removing your make up.

Esto es después de la primer pasada - This is after the first remove.

Repeat the steps until all the face is clean.

Esto es después de la segunda y final - This is after the second and final remove

Some times it's necessary to repeat the steps on the eyes but normally 1 time it's enough

You can see in the last photo a pink stain from the Sugarpill purple eyeshadow. Other makeup removers didn't work either but it dissapear after my shower

A little bit of knowledge:
Coconut oil is great for many uses. On clean skin it moisturize and don't leave any oily residue (you need to wait a few minutes so it absorbs well). It's perfect for oily skins and acne prone skins because it has antibacterial properties. It didn't give me more acne and it feels nicely moisturized

The Chamomille tea was recommended to me by my dermatologyst to use it as a toner. It helps me a lot with my redness and have a lot of other properties (Check the web!)

Why I did this instead of others I found?
If the face is wet the oil slides much better because it doesn't get into the skin quickly. You will use less oil with a much better result, faster and free from irritations. If you use a dry cotton pad, this absorbs any moisture and doesn't give time to remove all the makeup. Being wet it slides better and remove a lot more.

If you try it, let me know how it worked for you!

Saludos!
Bye!
